Bill Higgs is the Chief Financial Officer at Weather Group and has served in that role since December 2015. In this role, he combines financial and strategic planning and reporting expertise to build value, increase profitability and assess risk.  Bill has more than 40 years of diverse industry experience including manufacturing, marketing and advertising, consumer packaged goods, and technology in publicly traded and privately held companies, the latter in private equity and sole proprietor environments.

Bill joined The Weather Channel in 2006 and prior to serving as CFO, he served as senior vice president and chief accounting officer of TWCC (The Weather Channel Companies) Holding Corp, the holding company for The Weather Channel, weather.com, and WSI. In that role, Bill was responsible for all accounting, external reporting, and treasury functions, risk management, and debt compliance for that Company's credit agreement and subordinated debt facilities.

Prior to joining The Weather Channel, Bill worked for various companies, most notably at Cott Corporation/Cott Beverages USA as North American director of financial reporting and U.S. national controller and The Coca-Cola Company in various financial roles, both domestically and internationally.  In these roles, Bill managed staff in the areas of operations and logistics finance, marketing finance, shared services, general and cost accounting and financial reporting.

Bill is a Certified Public Accountant and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
